Introduction

During the mid 1900s an important part of history in a foreign land began.  This section of history is called the Holocaust.  Many families were sent into hiding or torn apart because of one man’s control.  Jewish people were segregated and treated unfairly.  To fully understand the harsh treatment, I would like to introduce you to a special girl,
who is about your age, and her family.

Anne Frank was a courageous person, and her name is closely tied to the Holocaust.  You will become familiar with her and her family, the Franks, as they lived through this trying time.  As the youngest child, Anne experienced many emotions and life altering events in her short life.  Even though she is no longer alive, she is able to share her life with you through the writing from her personal diary.  As you explore this Web Quest, you will also enter into in her family life, share in her hopes, and understand the tears.
