You are a parent educator, a parent educators plans, coordinates, and teach parent education programs and services for families with children from early childhood through adolescence. Your next assignment for your regional meeting is to create a flyer or brochure on a birth defect to share with other parent educators in your region. You must first research the birth defect.
The following information must be included in your flyer or brochure:
- What is the name(s) of the birth defect?
- What type of classification does your birth defect fall under?
- Write a description of the birth defect?
- What is the cause or causes of this birth defect?
- What can be done to prevent this?
- How is this birth defect detected?
- What is the treatment?
- Where can parents find help or support?
- List Four resources you found your information from.
